Matjaz Krivic, An aerial view of the mist from the valley below rising towards the village of Shugruf in Haraz Mountains, Yemen.
Dreamed that I once again had to revisit the horrors of my mother’s house, post diagnosis. Instead of a small cottage by the sea she lived in a strange, mountaintop village, and instead of the 20 dogs that I remember living there, and subsequently cleaning up and finding homes for, there was a chicken and a pig. The house was much cleaner than I ever recall seeing it, and contained many luxury items I never dreamed she could afford. I was particularly enthralled by a glossy, antique dressing table with dozens of drawers containing expensive cosmetics. I came across Anna Sui’s limited edition 2013 eye shadow palettes and became so excited that I actually woke myself up.
