Slept like the dead last night. Dreamed of ceremonial garb and absurd, yet terrifying rituals. Priests and jesters and vampires and common cooks from the kitchen cavorted merrily whilst squealing things roasted over hot coals. I watched from the shadows, horrified, yet longing to join the revelries.
